Exactly where along the curb works best varies with traffic control, construction and time of day, so rather than sending you to a fixed door number that may not be the right one on the night, your chauffeur texts you precise meeting instructions once your flight lands. Terminal 1 is Pearson's largest terminal and handles Air Canada along with its Star Alliance partners — United, Lufthansa and others — which means a large share of international long-haul traffic lands here. Off an international flight, the sequence is the familiar one: deplane, immigration, baggage claim, customs, and out into the public arrivals hall.

That arrivals hall is the handover point. If you've added meet & greet, your chauffeur is standing there with your name on a sign — you don't need to know the building at all. If you've booked a standard pickup, this is where you check your phone: the texted instructions tell you exactly where to walk out and meet the car at the arrivals level.

Domestic arrivals skip immigration and customs and reach the same public area faster, which the tracking already accounts for — the chauffeur knows what kind of flight you're coming off because the booking carries your flight number.

How the timing works — you never rush, the car adjusts

Every airport pickup is booked with a flight number, and the arrival is tracked from then on. The pickup time follows the actual landing: if your flight into Terminal 1 is delayed two hours, the car is timed for the real touchdown, and if you land early, the schedule tightens to match. You never need to call anyone from a moving airplane queue.

The paper trail runs itself too. You get an SMS confirmation the moment you book, an emailed self-serve link that lets you view or edit the booking up to 12 hours before pickup, and an SMS reminder roughly four hours out. After landing, the chauffeur's text closes the loop.

Pearson has only two terminals. Air Canada and Star Alliance carriers use Terminal 1; WestJet, Delta, American, Air Transat, British Airways and most other airlines use Terminal 3.
