401 east — or the 407 down Brock Road

The direct line is Highway 409 onto the 401 east, across the top of Toronto and past the Rouge Valley to Pickering's own exits — Whites Road for the west side, Liverpool Road for the City Centre and Bay Ridges, Brock Road for the east. In the weekday crushes, Highway 407 across York Region is the better road for much of the city: it meets Brock Road at Pickering's northern edge, which drops the car straight into Seaton's new neighbourhoods and runs south through Duffin Heights toward the lake.
