QEW west — or the 407's western end

The main line runs Highway 427 south from the terminals onto the QEW west, through Mississauga and Oakville to the Burlington exits — Appleby Line, Guelph Line and Brant Street — with the Freeman interchange splitting traffic toward Aldershot and Hamilton. One honest caution from driving it daily: the westbound QEW congests badly from mid-afternoon into the evening, which is what the top of the 40–60 minute range is for.

The quieter card is that Highway 407 ends at the 403 right at Burlington's shoulder. For Alton Village, Millcroft and the Dundas Street corridor up the hill, coming across the top on the 407 skips the QEW entirely — and any toll is inside the flat quote, never billed afterwards.
