Highway 6, the 403, the Skyway, the Gardiner

The run has a rhythm to it: Highway 6 north from the airport lands you on Highway 403 within minutes, then it is down the escarpment through Hamilton, over the Burlington Skyway, and onto the QEW's long pull past Burlington, Oakville and Mississauga before the Gardiner Expressway carries you into the towers. Off-peak, downtown is about an hour away; the eastbound QEW in the morning rush is what the top of the 60–90 minute range is for.

Not every Toronto address wants the lakeshore route. For North York, Markham or the 404 corporate corridor, the chauffeur can swing onto Highway 407 instead and come across the top — any toll rides inside the flat quote, never billed afterwards.
