Highway 6, the 403, and down off the escarpment

YHM sits on top of the Niagara Escarpment at Mount Hope, and the drive to Burlington is mostly descent: Highway 6 north from the terminal, onto Highway 403 eastbound, over the brow with the bay ahead of you, and down through the Aldershot interchanges into Burlington. Off-peak it is a 20-minute run; about 25 is typical, and a rush-hour 403 sets the top of the 20–35 minute range.

For the north end — Alton Village, The Orchard and the Dundas Street corridor — the surface way through Waterdown and along Dundas Street serves those neighbourhoods directly and can beat the highway at rush hour.
